We are always glad to recruit new members. Follow this link for our membership leaflet.  Membership runs from January to December each year, except for our online-only student membership offer, which covers the academic year, from 1 September to 31 August. Apart from this group, anyone joining after 1 November will be treated as joining from the beginning of the following year.

Joining up online is easy, but if you prefer to join by post, follow this link for a copy of the application form.  We would be very grateful if subscribers would include Gift Aid with their application. This means we can reclaim the tax you have already paid on that money. It costs you nothing, but adds considerably to our income. The Gift Aid form is attached to the application form; please make sure to sign both before returning them to us.

Direct Debits

There is a discount of £3 per subscription for paying by direct debit. We collect direct debits each January for subscriptions for that calendar year. If you are joining later in the year, you will need to pay your first membership fee by cheque, bank transfer or via a Paypal invoice in that year, but can pay by direct debit in subsequent years. You still get your £3 discount in your  first year of membership, so long as you have signed up for direct debits for future years. Please download and print off the Direct Debit form here, fill in and sign the paper copy, and post to our office. (Apologies; our bank will not accept e-mailed electronic copies for this purpose).

Current membership rates

For membership categories other than student online membership, a renewal form is sent out each year in the December mailing, with details of your membership category, its cost, and your method of payment. If you are paying by cheque but for some reason do not receive the form, please send a cheque to the Membership Administrator at the address below. Student online members will receive a renewal request in September each year.
