Revokeing and by these presents Annulling all for[mer]*
and other wills & Testamts by me made either by
word or writeing, In Witness whereof I have hereunto
sett my hand & seale this Ninth day of January in
the fourth yeare of ye reign of our Soveraign Lady
Anne Queen of England ec Annoq Dni 1705. Signed

John } In the Name of God Amen I John Whitton of
Whitton } Hexham in ye County of Northumberland Tobacconist
being sick in body but of sound & perfect mind and
memory (praise be therefore given to Almighty God)
doe make & ordaine this my psent last Will and
Testamt in manner & forme following (that is to
say) First & principally I comend my soule into ye
hands of Almighty God hopeing through ye meritts
death & passion of my saviour Jesus Christ to have
full & free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins & to
Inherit everlasting life & my body I comitt to ye Earth
to be decently buried at ye discretion of my Executor
hereafter named And as touching ye disposicon of
all such Temporall Estate as it hath pleased Almighty
God to bestow upon me I give devise & dispose thereof
as followeth; Imps I will that my Debts & funerall
charges shall be duly pd & discharged by my said
Executor hereafter named; Item Whereas it hath
pleased Almighty God to Endue* me wth two houses wth
Garths or backsides thereunto belonging scituate*
standing & being in Bishopp Middleham in ye County
of Durham I give & devise ye same with their & every
of their Appurtences unto my loveing wife Ann
Whitton for & dureing ye tearm of her nrall life &
after her decease ye same to discend & come to my
loveing brother Robert Whitton of North Sheeles* in ye
sd County of Northumbland Marriner his heirs & ass forever
