of ye Lord of ye same Mannr according to ye custome of ye said
Mannr there anciently used One Tenemt wth the Appurts
being the Eighth part of Ordley-Hall lyeing in Newlands &
Rowley-Ward & containeing by estimacon Twenty Acres of
Land arrable Meadow or pasture ground be it more or less as
ye same is Divided by meets & bounds of ye yearely Rent of Thre[e]
shillings & Four pence to ye use & behoofe* of John Carr of
Hexham in ye County of Northumberland aforesd Gent his
heires & Assignes To have & To hold to him ye sd John Carr
his heires & Assignes forever, according to ye custome of ye sd
Mannr As in & by ye sd Surrender or Fine Relacon being
thereunto had may more fully and att large appear. And
Whereas by an Instrumt or Deed in writeing beareing Date
the Fourteenth day of March in ye yeare of o Lord 1704:
made between me ye sd Timothy Johnson of ye one part & ye
sd John Carr of ye other part and executed according to due
forme of Law it was thereby Declared covented concluded &
agreed upon by & between ye sd parties to ye sd in part
recited Instrumt or Deed in writeing That ye sd John
Carr his heires & Ass should stand & be Seized of all
& singular the pmisses in ye sd in part recited Surrendr
menconed to ye uses intents & purposes therein after
menconed (that is to say) to ye use & behoofe of ye sd John
Carr his heires & Assignes for & untill ye sd Timothy
Johnson his heires, Execs Adms & Assignes or some
of them should well & truly pay or cause to be paid
unto ye sd John Carr his Execs Adms or Assignes the
whole & just sume of Fifty pounds of lawfull English
money with interest for ye same and from and after ye
paymt of ye sd sume & interest as aforesd That then
the sd John Carr his heires & Ass shall stand & be
Seized of all & singular ye pmisses in ye sd in part
