with Joy, & through ye meritts of Christs Death & passion possesse & Inherite
ye Kingdome of Heaven prepared for his elect & Chosen: And my Body to be
buried in such place & Decent manner as to my Executor hereafter
named shall be thought fitt & Convenient. And now for ye settleing
of my Temporall Estate & such Goods Chattells & Debts as it hath
pleased God far above my Deserts to bestow upon me; I Doe Order
Give, & Dispose of ye same in manner & forme following (that is to say)
Imps I Give and bequeath unto my Unckle James Braidwoods
Children The sume of Twenty pounds of good & lawfull English
money: the proper names of them being Thomas & Hanna and
to be payd by my Execut hereafter named It I Give & bequeath
unto my Unckle William Hawdons Children William & Mary
ye sume of Five pounds of good and lawfull English money &
my Will & meaneing is that ye same shall be sett forward for
them to ye best advantage by my Executor hereafter nominated
It I Give and bequeath unto my Unckle William Coatsforths
Five Children Wm Thomas, Robert Hanna Walton & Mary each
of ym ye sume of Twenty shillings of good and lawfull English
money to be in like manner sett forward for them according to
ye Best Advantage by my Execut Item I Give and bequeath unto
my Aunt Elizabeth Younger ye sume of Twenty shillings of
good & lawfull English money Item I Give & bequeath unto my Coz
It I Give unto my Aunt Margt Coatsforth ye sume of Five shillings
Anthony Younger ye sume of Five shillings Item I Give and
It I Give unto my Aunt Margt Coatsforth ye sume of Five shillings
bequeath unto my Uncle John Swinburne ye sume of Five
shillings of good & lawfull English money. And lastly I Doe Constitute
Ordaine & Appointe my Uncle James Braidwood sole Executor of
this my last Will & Testament & my Will & meaneing is that the
abovesd Legacyes shall be payd by him att or before ye End & Expiracon
of Twelve months next ensueing my Decease And to him only I
bequeath all ye remainder of my Goods moveable & Immoveable
my Debts Legacyes & funerall Expenses being payd & Discharged in
manner & forme as is above Expressed In Witnesse whereof to ys
my last Will & Testamt I have sett my hand & seale ye Day & Year first
above written. Signed sealed & Delivered in ye psence of us Hugh
