Mr. Heron I have receiv’d both your letters
Newcastle-upon Tyne they and two I have receiv’d from Mr. T*-
contain all that is material of the trans-
actions at Hexham.Your Magistrates are
a set of – but angry words wont forward
our business. in a former letter I told you
all Things concerning the time I should wish
to have you come up, the 2d reading is not
yet fixed, but may be I believe at anytime
& your assistance a few days before would be
of great use in preparing arguments for
Council you ask me what hopes I have of
success. I cannot well answer that question
but I have great promises of support &
nothing I think can defeat me but some
insurmountable obstacle from the usage of
Parl not to interfere in determining between the
parties if this cannot anyway be got over
