or before the 25th day of March 1780 & for the supporting upholding or Rebuilding
said Bridge & repairing & keeping in repair the same for the term of Seven Yrs
from the compleating of the same respectively & which said proposals were at the
said Sessions approved of & agreed to by the sd Justices then present on behalf of the
Coy It was witnessed that for the Consns in the sd Articles & hereinafter mentd
your Petr for himself his Heirs Exors & Admors did Covt with the said Justices
their Exors & Admors That he wod at his own proper Costs & Charges on or before
the said 25th day of March 1780 well sufficiently & effectually build a good and
Substantial Stone Bridge across the River Tyne according to the Plans thereunto
annexed, opposite to Hexham at a Place examined & approved by the sd W.
Smeaton And shod procure & make the said Road And that yr Petr his Heirs
Exors & Admors shod & wod at his & their own proper Costs & Charges from Time to
Time & at all Times as often as need shod be & require during the term of Seven
years uphold support repair maintain rebuild & keep in good Repair the said
Bridge & Road for the said seven Years to be computed from the time that the
said Bridge & Road should have been certified for to the Genl Qr Sessions
