In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Teasdale
of Light Shield in ye. parish of Allendale and County of Northumb’land
widdow being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory
Praise be therefore given to Almighty God doe make and ordaine
this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following (That
is to say) First and Principally I Commend my soul into the hands
of Almighty God, hopeing through ye. meritts, Death and passion of
my saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and
forgiveness of all my sins, and to inherit everlasting life, and my
Body I commit to the Earth, to be decently buried at the discrecon
of my Executor hereafter named and as touching the disposition of
such Temporall Estate Goods and Chattells as it hath pleased
Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as
followeth. Imp: I Give to my son William A Cow and Fourteen
Wether Sheep. Item I Give to my son Hugh A White faced Cow
All the rest and residue of my personall Estate Goods and Chattells
moveable and Immoveable whatsoever I doe give and bequeath
unto my loveing Daughter Margaret Teasdale and doe make her
my full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament
and doe revoke disannull and make void all former Wills and Testaments
by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said
Elizabeth Teasdale hath hereunto sett my hand the Twenty
Sixth day of February and in the Twelfth Year of ye Reigne
of our Soveraigne Lord King William the third by the Grace
of God over England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender
of the faith and in the Year of our Lord God 1699 Witnessed
