Page 90, Will, Barbara Sparke, 22 July 1704

In the Name of God Amen The Twenty Second day of
July 1704 According to ye Computation of ye. Church of
England I Barbery Sparke of Burnlaw in the parish of
Alindale & County of Northumberland Spinster being of
perfect memory and remembrance praised be God doe
make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in
manner & forme following (vizt) First I bequeath my
Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing that
through the Meritorious Death & passion of Jesus Christ
my onely saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and
forgiveness of all my Sinns, and as for my Body to be buried in
Christian Buriall at ye. discretion of my Executer hereafter
mentioned – Imprimis I give unto my Brother Matthew
Spark one Shilling: Item I give unto my Brother Hugh Sheild
one shilling – Item I give unto my Brother Edward Coen
one shilling item I give unto Hannah Coen one shill wife
to Edward Coen 1s. Item I give unto Francis Sheild one
shilling Item I give unto Josua Sheild one shilling Item
I give unto Roberta Sheild one Manty* & one Petty Coat Item
I give unto Mary Sheild One Manty & one Petty Coat Item
I give unto Edward Coens Four Children Four pounds equally
to be divided amongst them – I leave five pounds to ye meeting
of Alindaile for ye. use of it to releave poor freiends Item
I give one pound to the building of ye. free Scool at the
rideing hill in Alindale. Item all the rest of my personall
Estate moveable & unmoveable I give unto my Brother
Jonathan Sparke upon Condition that he shall pay
all my Debts and Legacyes and make him sole Executer
of this my last Will & Testament revokeing all other Wills
& Testaments In Witness whereof I have hereunto
sett my hand & seal ye. day & year first above written
