Stable and place where the Mealmakers stand for & dureing
the Terme of her naturall life, Item I Give & devise unto my
second sonn James Charleton his heirs and Assignes forever
All that my Close of meadow ground lyeing in Hencoats fields
and boundering on the lands of James Watson on ye. East, and
the lands of Peter Bell on the West, with all the appurteces
thereunto belonging To have and to hold the sayd Close
of Meadow ground with the appurtenances unto my
said sonn James Charleton his Heires & Assignes for ever;
Item I Give & devise unto my Daughter Jane Charleton,
All that my Burgage or Thatched Houses with the
appurtenances scituate* & being in Gillygate within ye.
Towne of Hexham aforesaid boundering on ye. Burgages
of Matthew Bell on the North and South; To have and to
Hold the said Burgage or Thatched House wth ye appurtenances
unto my said Daughter Jane Charleton her heires &
Assignes for ever; Item I Give and bequeath unto my
Eldest sonn William Charleton my two Gallaway Naggs*
Item all the rest of my Goods & Chattells moveable and
immoveable I give & bequeath unto my said loveing wife
Margaret Charleton whom I doe hereby nominate
constitute and appoint sole Executrix of this my
last Will and Testament In Witnesse whereof I have
hereunto sett my hand & seale this fourteenth day
of January in the Thirteeenth Year of the Reigne of
our sovraigne Lord William the third that now is over

January 24th: 1701: Memorandum that upon deliberate
Consideration had my Will and pleasure is that my Sonn
William have the Back Stable in Loanwoods house to putt
his Goods into, as alsoe the Benefitt of ye Toll:Meal:Standage
the Length of the Gavell* any thing before conteined
to the contrary as witnesseth my hand the day & yeare
last above written Signed & Published in the presence
