Page 72, Will, Roger Barron, 9 May 1702

Roger Barron In the Name of God Amen I Roger Barron of Halington
in ye. County of Northumberland Yeoman being weak in body but
mind &
of perfect sound & disposeing memory (blessed be God for ye same)
doe make this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following
(that is to say) Imprimis I comitt my soule into ye hands of my
faithfull Creator & Redeemer & my body to be buried at the
discretion of my Executors hereafter named. And as to the
worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me
I give and bequeath the same in manner and form following
(yt is to say) Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
Anne Barron the sume of forty pounds Lawfull English
money for a Legacy Item I give & bequeath unto John
Sprunston of great Bavington in the County of Northumbland
yeoman five Lambs for a Legacy Item I give & bequeath
unto John Milburne of Cattreine in the said County Yeoman
five Lambs for a legacy. Item I give & bequeath unto
Jane Hall Patterson of Nesbitt in the sd. County widdow
five Hoggs for a legacy. Item I give & bequeath unto
Simon Lamb of Welhouse in the sd. County Yeoman five
Hoggs for a legacy. Item I give and bequeath unto Mary
Taylor wife of Wm. Taylor of Little Swinburne in ye sd.
County & to Margaret Atkinson wife of William Atkinson
of Colwell in ye sd. County five Lambs equally to be divided
betweene them. Item All & singular my Goods Chattells &
personall Estate, whatsoever my Just Debts & funerall Expenses
being first satisfyed and paid I give & bequeath unto my
Executors hereafter named equally betweene them my
goods & Implements of Household Stuff excepted which my
mind & will is shall be equally divided between my wife
Ursula Barron & my said Daughter Anne Barron. And
I doe hereby make constitute & appoint my sd. loving wife
Ursula Barron & my Brother John Barron of Great Bavington
in ye. said County of Northumberland Yeoman Joynt Executors
of this my last Will & Testament and I doe hereby revoke and
make voyd all former & other last Wills & Testaments by me
at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I the sd.
Roger Barron have hereunto sett my hand & seale this
Ninth day of May in ye. first year of ye Reigne of our Sovraigne*
