In the Name of God Amen I Christopher Ord of
Studdon within ye parish of Allendaile & County of Northumbland
being sick in Body but of good & perfect remembrance praised
be God for ye same Doe make this my last Will in manner & forme
following First I Give & bequeath my soule to Allmighty God
hopeing to receive full remission & forgiveness of all my Offences
through Jesus Christ our Lord Item I give & bequeath unto my
Nephew Christopher Ord ye one halfe of one Tenement or
Farmhold lying in Darwan water head comonly called Sled
meadows for & during ye Terme of Eighteen Years begining at
Mayday next and then ye said Moyety* to continue to ye said
Christopher during ye said Terme of Eighteen Years Untill
my onely Daughter Alice Ord come to full Age Item I give unto
my Sister Catherine Natriss ye sume of Five pounds Item I Give
unto my Neice Elizabeth Ord ye sume of Five pounds Item I Give
unto my Dear Wife Ann Ord & my onely Daughter Alice Ord
All ye rest of my Estate both reall & personall Item I Give
make my Dear wife Ann Ord Executrix of this my last Will
In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and
seale ye Twentieth Day of August Anno Dni 1699 signed
sealed & Delivered in ye presence of us William Sheild and

sicke & Weak in body but of sound & perfect memory praised
be God for it Doe make this my last Will & Testament in
manner and forme following revokeing & by these presents
Annulling all former and other Wills & Testaments by me
made either by word or writeing And first I committ my soule
into ye hands of Almighty God my Creatour hopeing assuredly
through ye meritts Death & passion of Jesus Christ my
blessed Saviour & Redeemer to inheritt Eternall life &
my body to ye earth from whence it came to be buried in
such decent and Christian manner as by my Executrix
hereafter named shall be thought fitt and convenient
And as for such wordly* Estate as it hath pleased Allmighty
God to bestow upon me I Despose thereof as followeth
Item I Give Legate and bequeath unto my Brother
John Leadbitter of Hexham Yeom the sume of Twenty
shillings of lawfull English money to be payd by my
