Take One Ounce and a half of Brom* Ashes
One Ounce and a half of White Mustard Seed
Bruis’d and put into New Ale and take half a Gill Twice
a day –
And for a Jaundice, Add 2 Oz. Of Senna

To make Raisin Wine
To 4. Gallons of Water [Ale Measure] put 4. Pounds of Sugar
and 8 lb of Raisons of the Sun Cutt – and the Peil & Juce
of 4. or 5. Lemons* – Boil the Water and Sugar half an
Hour then put the other Ingredient to it Hott, let it
Stand Three days stirring it Once a day & Then Barrell
it for Six Months – then Bottle it with Adding to it –
Three Gills of Brandy to every Gallon of Wine 1. Oz
of Ising Glass*
