To Make Lipsalve.
Take 4. Ounces of Bees Wax } Boil them together till they be Incorporated
6. Ounces of Hoggs Lard }
Then take Madder Root* & Alkenett Root* 3. pennyworth* and Boil with
the Liquor lett it not be full Red Strain it tho’ a Clean Cloth
& this will be an Excellent Lipsalve.
To Make Pank Cakes
1. Gill* & a half of Flour } A Quick Fire } to Fry ym
3. Eggs } a Clean Frying pan } |Butter|
1 ½ Gill of Water } Rinded Beef or Mutton } |Better|
1. Gill of Good Milk. }
Salt } (Rinded, Beef or Mutton for Fish)
Lipsalve s D Jellyes.
A pound of Butter 0 : 7 8. Calf Feet 0 : 6
Rosewater 0 : 6 A Bottle of Wine 2 : 0
Apples 0 : 2 Lemmons 0 : 4
¾ of a lb of Wax 1 : 0 A Gill Cinnomon water or Brandy 0 : 6
An Ounce of Benjamin* } 1 : 2 Eggs 0 : 2
An Ounce of Storase* } Sugar 1lb 0 : 7
Alkennet Root* 0 : 6 _______
Half a Gill of Brandy 0 : 3 4 : 1
Two Pipkins* 0 : 4 {Water what you please
