68 tho I can not doubt but Mr
Letteney has given you an account of what
21 Decr 1786 pass’d in the court of Chancery on the 19th,
Mr Errington Lre yet I wish to say a word ot two upon the
communicating the subject, the Chancellor has enjoined the Justices
Chancellory Decln as to proceed no further in this Judgement till the
to an Issue Cause shall have been heard in equity, and took
22/De* the opportunity to express himself in terms &
emphasis pretty strongly respecting the Conduct
of my opponents. He testify’d his astonishment
that the County should ever have entertain’d an
Idea of grasping at the penalty and said he
