very [moderate?] Expense in proportion to the Size and Importance of the Work,
and therefore in Compliance with the Wishes of the Public he advised it.
But now, that [?] of Experience having arisen out of this Attempt, that
demonstrates it’s Impracticability as a permanent Work, if the
[??] Magistrates cannot be convinced of the Inutility thereof;
but will be induced to go on still further with Experiments of the
same kind it shall never be handed down to Posterity, that this
Deponent was the repeated Adviser of the Attempt.
