Document 26, Letter from Henry Errington to Ralph Heron, 27 March 1783, p 1

55
Dr Sir
Mr Heron*
Newcastle
Free* upon
C Leighton* Tyne
I have receiv’d both your
letters for which I am much oblig’d to you
had there been any time appointed for the
2d reading of the bill at its presentation I shd
have taken care to acquaint you with it, but
Sr Willm Middleton thought it right to defer it
till after the Hollidays, and there was no poss
ibility of objecting to it on my part tho very
disagreeable to me, the instant the bill was
printed it was presented, so that it was not
in my power to prevent Mr Troward having
copies of it as soon as I had myself, I will
take care to give you the very earliest notice
